What you need to know...

My name is Simon, I am the director of the Jericho Road Project based in South East London. The project was created in 2001 to help alleviate homelessness in the borough of Lewisham and over the years the project has grown and adapted to meet the need of our community.

Supported Housing

We have six properties across Lewisham and Greenwich housing 27 residents across the year, we offer bespoke support for each resident to help them find a pathway into independent living. We also look at building cofidence, connection, ways back into education and work.

The Feast

'The safest place for the weakest person'. The Feast is a weekly outreach meal on Wednesday nights across the year. We offer a hot three course meal, housing and benefit advice, clothing, toiletries, as well as sleeping bags and supplies for rough sleepers in the local area.

King's Christmas Trees

For the last 11 years we have sold Christmas trees. Hundreds each year across South East London to fund the food for The Feast. In 2018 we sold around 600 trees which paid for over 5,000 meals across the year.

If you live in the South East London area and want to support the work of The Feast you can buy a King's Christmas Tree now!

Big Red Box

In 2011 we launched the Big Red Box (under the name Arms Wide Open) with the aim to reach out to families in our local community struggling across the Christmas period. In that first year we sent out 246 food hampers to families via Lewisham Social Service family teams.

In 2018 we saw 2,226 boxes sent out across six boroughs in South East London to families and a variety of individuals who would be struggling to get by at Christmas. The community involvement in this project and its rapid growth across the years has been incredible to see.
